The Westchester Workshops are a series of one or two day seminars designed to help working professionals cultivate a deeper understanding of natural law moral reasoning, and apply them to the ethical dimensions of their professional life.

The Westchester Institute has crafted a number of specific presentations that address not only the moral life in general, but also the particular question that arise in various fields. We hope through these workshops to provide a much needed environment where men and women can have the opportunity to reflect upon moral issues crucial to their work, yet often overlooked amidst the more practical demands of professional life. Listed below are some of the workshops offered through the Westchester Institute. We also, however, will individually design a workshop to meet new and specific needs of groups. Our most popular workshops are:

  • Prudential Judgment in Healthcare Ethics
  • The Natural Law Tradition
  • A Brief History of Ethics
  • Fundamentals of Bioethics
  • Philosophy of the Human Person
  • Marriage & Human Sexuality-the Catholic Perspective
  • John Paul II's 'Theology of the Body'
  • Contemporary Moral Culture: A Diagnosis
  • The Ontological and Moral Status of the Human Embryo
  • Values, Virtues, Rights & Duties
The Westchester Workshops are currently available only to sponsoring groups and organizations. If you would like to sponsor a Westchester Workshop in your area please contact us and provide information about the sponsoring group, the topics you would like covered, and your preferred dates.
